About Me

Welcome to Slade Counselling!

My name is Haley Slade. I am a registered masters level social worker. I offer virtual and in-person counselling services to residents of Alberta and virtual services to residents of Saskatchewan. 


I have been working as a social worker for the last decade and am currently based out of Calgary, AB.

In my spare time you can find me running, hiking, traveling and spending time with my husband, golden retriever (Winston), friends and family!


I have experience working with adults, couples, families, children and adolescents but am currently only working with adults.

I look forward to meeting and working with you to achieve your mental health goals!

Education and Experience

I have a bachelor’s and master’s degree in social work from the University of Regina, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Saskatchewan. 


I previously worked as a counsellor in mental health services in Saskatchewan, in addition to working with individuals and families in inpatient and outpatient health care services.


I am trained in accelerated resolution therapy (ART) hypnosis. I also utilize cognitive-behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, and mindfulness in my counselling approach. 


My areas of interest include trauma, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, and life transitions. I believe in counselling through a trauma-informed, strengths-based and affirmative approach.


I believe in working with you to find an approach for your specific needs. I pride myself in offering a non-judgmental space, where you can come as you are.

Continued Education and Training - Canine Enhanced Therapy

I am currently in Dog Therapy training with my golden retriever, Winston. We are hopeful that he will become certified to assist me in counselling in late 2025.

Professional Licensing

I am registered and in good standing with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW) and the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
